Mobile Home Fire, Kite Hawk Ln Unincorporated Brentwood

Today at around 2:27 pm East Contra Costa fire Protection District responded to a report of a mobile home fire on Kite Hawk Ln in unincorporated Brentwood. Engine 54, Engine 94, Engine 59, Engine 93, Engine 52 and Battalion 5 arrived on scene of the working structure fire. Fire was placed under control within 15 minutes. The trailer was deemed a complete loss.

Oakley Police Incident at Cypress Rd & Mellowood Dr.

Oakley Police and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office were investigating a traffic accident in the area of Cypress rd and Mellowood dr in Oakley. Preliminary information has this as a Hit and Run accident with minor injuries involved. A passenger of the suspect vehicle seen above was detained and being treated for unknown minor injuries. The driver fled the vehicle after the crash and was last seen running into the neighboring homes. Both agencies set up a perimeter and began yard to yard searches with the help of the Oakley Canine unit.

As of this post, EBF is awaiting conformation and  updated information regarding the incident. As soon as updated information is provided, we will post it here.

Major Police Activity in Antioch on W. 10th & Auto Center

Today there was some major police activity in the area of W. 10th st and Auto Center Dr in Antioch. A resource close to EBF has indicated that it was in fact an joint task force which included Antioch Police Department & California Motor Vehicle Investigations in a warrant service that netted at least one arrest for multiple felonies. We are attempting to get an official report from one of the above agencies regarding this police activity. We will post more when the information is in.
